On Friday 15th January 2016, at 7.30pm, Skoufa Gallery opens Maria Mpirthimiri’s second solo photography exhibition, titled “Deep in the
Clouds”. The exhibition will run until Monday 8th February 2016.
Maria Mpirthimiri is an architect whose photographs balance between reality and imagination, combining scattered images that she collected during her business trips.
They are everyday images which Mpirthimiri uniquely transforms through her lens. She mentions that in her photographs “Passersby, couples, children, boats, antennas, cities and seas, they all touch the dream and finally find their places in the clouds”.
