LOVE at the BENCH

On Tuesday 14th February 2017, at 19.30, Skoufa Gallery opens Alexi Kyritsopoulos’s solo painting exhibition titled “Love on the Bench” which will run until Wednesday 8th March 2017.
It is a series of paintings that the artist made to illustrate his book by the same title, recently published by Metaihmio.
Alexis Kyritsopoulos uses painting as a medium to express his inspiration that springs from the idea of love and its many aspects.
Dreams alternate with reality to present all stages and contradictions of a love story embellished with humour and sensitivity.
Tender instances, erotic confessions, daydreaming, all happen suddenly when one encounters passion.
All his paintings that are executed with the same warm color scheme, are flooded with emotions and romanticism.
Is there an empty promise or the realization of a dream? Alexi Kyritsopoulos’ images speak for themselves, inviting each viewer to “read” through them his own erotic story.
