On Saturday February 12th 1 p.m. at Skoufa Gallery we inaugurate the painting exhibition by George Kouvakis.
The twentieth personal exhibition of the artist consists on works of the last decade having the trunk as theme. It is an actual and ecological theme with a powerfull symbolism.
Like spines of old books, Kouvaki’s trunks symbolize the ecological crisis that we are facing more often with climate changes, degradation of the atmosphere quality, the population concentrated in awfull boroughs. The trunks symbolize the knowledge we have lost and we have to discover again.
The exhibition is accompanied with the presentation of the edition TRUNK 1987-2010 with texts of the writer George Skambardonis.
