Skoufa Gallery presents a group exhibition titled “Summertime”. The exhibition features four contemporary Greek artists, who are inspired by the summer aura, the intensity of the natural world and the vivid colors, capturing their own summer visions on canvas. The exhibition opens on Thursday 16 June 2022 and will run until 10 July 2022.
The works emphasize the power of nature, which is always present, and the sea as a vital element, highlighting its connection with the human being and the need to harmonize with the natural world.
The carefree days and the memories of the summer days are the theme of a series of artworks that trigger strong emotions. Seductive landscapes and water compositions transport the viewer to idyllic places. The impressive color palettes in combination with the presence of the natural world, create a harmonious ensemble.
Each participating artist captures the summer feeling in his own way: Thanasis Makris presents a series of seascape paintings, emphasizing the power and intensity of the natural world. Yiannis Michailidis starts from blue tones and captures his experiences, visions and childhood memories on canvas. George Hadoulis, uses an intense color palette, transporting the viewer to idyllic landscapes, where the beauty of nature dominates. Finally, Panagiotis Beldekos is inspired by the Greek rocky shores, using impressive techniques that give texture and dimension to his works.
