NOTHING IS UNDER CONTROL!!
Which is completely true in one sense, there is really nothing under our control. Ultimately we must bow to circumstances we have no means of controlling.
The effects of a global pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, the economic crisis… Nothing is under control any more. Our lives keep changing… Some will say meaningful lives are for extraordinary people: great saints, artists, scholars, scientists, doctors, activists, explorers, national leaders…. But we are still here, still living and trying to enjoy what has been left of the once thought of normality! Trying to guest the great meaning… and If we did discover it, would it really matter at all?
To wonder too openly, or intensely, about the meaning of life is for sure a peculiar, ill-fated and unintentionally comedic pastime. We live today, for today and this is our greatest experience in life!
This exhibition is a collection of artworks, some ironic, some with a hint of nostalgia. Art is still clever and vibrant and full of energy. The world is ours! And the idea of control is just a lie.
