On Saturday the 30 of May, at 9.00 p.m., Platonas Rivellis’ solo photography exhibition opens at Skoufa Gallery Mykonos, initiating with this exhibition Skoufa Gallery Mykonos Artistic Programme 2015.
Photographs taken during the last 25 years belonging to different bodies of work of Platon Rivellis, will be presented. The Skoufa Gallery venue will exhibit square format black and white photographs from the “Monumental” series (1995-2007), square format colour photographs from the “Joie de Vivre” series (2012-2015) and 35mm black and white and colour photographs from the “Chapels of Syros” series (2010-2013).
Another simultaneous exhibition of Rivellis’ photographs will be presented at The Grace Mykonos Hotel venue, where panoramic format black and white photographs belonging to his “Minimalism” series (1999-2010) will be presented.
Platon Rivellis was born in 1945 in Athens and has been living on the island of Syros since 2000. He is a photographer, teacher of photography and author of theoretical books on photography and the cinema.
